Osteopathy (Child 5-12 years)

Osteopathy is a manual therapy built on the principle that structure and function are reciprocally interrelated, that the mechanical and physiological integrity of the body’s framework directly governs its capacity for self-regulation and healing. The body is remarkably good at adapting and compensating, building layers of adjustment to keep functioning at its best. As with any structure under uneven load though, those layers can accumulate over time, redistributing strain globally and masking the true origin of dysfunction. Osteopathic assessment traces these compensation cascades systematically, grounded in an understanding of the body as a tensegrity system where forces of tension and compression are continuously transmitted and balanced across all tissues. Rather than working against these adaptations, osteopathy works with the body’s innate ability to self-regulate and heal, applying a broad spectrum of techniques, from soft tissue, articulatory and mobilization work to visceral and cranial approaches, each suited to the unique circumstances of the individual and where they are in their healing process. The clinical goal reaches beyond symptom relief to identifying and resolving the root cause, producing changes that are genuine and lasting.
